1. Numerals,
as their noun says, refer to numbers in several different ways. The two main
classes of them are cardinal and ordinal numbers.
2. Cardinal numbers in Catalan are as follows:

2.1. Numerals un ~ una and dos ~ dues
have both masculine and feminine endings.
2.2. As for u, it is used as a noun and a pronoun,
while un is both an article and a numeral.
2.3. There are some cases
of gender inflection regarding cardinal numbers:
