SPELLING 'LL', 'L·L' I 'TLL'

1. The digraph <ll> represents the sound /λ/, which can be found in all positions:
dilluns, lluny, martell, etc.

2. The digraph <l·l> represents a geminated sound /l:/instead, though in the spoken language is rather usual to pronounce it as simple /l/. It is to be found between vowels:
col·legi, il·lusió, etc.

3. The digraph <tll> represents another geminated consonant /λ:/
ametlla, batlle, etc.
